Mr Francis Dravi and The Technical Drawing Class
Mr Francis Dravi and The Technical Drawing Class
When Mr Francis Dravi became our technical drawing teacher in JSS2 (1999), everybody in the class knew that it was time to back up.
Most of us were always found wanting because Mr. Dravi was not one who tolerated silly mistakes: dirty work, double line, you name it. I was always within the range of 5 out of 10, 6 out of 10. To get 7, I’d have to go the extra mile. People like Mordenu Komla Honore, Kudah Bogah and Agamah Francis were always within 8 or 9 out of 10.
Mr. Dravi knew the subject and practically drove us through it. Mercy on you if your instruments were not complete when it was time for Technical Drawing.
From Isometric and Orthographic projections, drawing of plans and developments. Oh! We caught on to his vibe and gave our best in Technical Drawing – mostly to avoid his wrath, but also because he knew his stuff and taught us well.

What a joy it was that about 50 out of the 90 pupils registered for the year 2000 B.E.C.E had grade 1 in his subject (including me)
1 Timothy 4:15 says
Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.
Until you give your best and go through the mill, certain kinds of success may not be seen in your life. Miracles are not an excuse for laziness and lackadaisical work. I agree that miracles exist, but they are not substitutes for personal responsibility. Always make sure what you are giving is your best.
Give your best at whatever you find yourself doing!
Mr Francis Dravi, I Salute you!!
For the love of God , Society and Young people
