An open Letter to JFK Mensah.
Dear Sir,
Hope this letter finds you well. I have known you for about 8 years now on a personal level but I started hearing of you and listening to your messages before I met you.
In this letter, I want to share with the world certain values I have learned from you. I call you Daddy because I see a real and down-to-earth father in you.
You have sacrificed a lot for the progress of your disciples and I stand today to say thank you for standing tall in living the Values that Christ died for.
My friend Agbenatoe Wisdom, aka Awizy, really “troubled” me about you many years ago. As a characteristic of my friendship with Awizy, anywhere we see a good preacher, we will go to any length to get his messages.
So Awizy kept telling me about you. I also saw him making disciples. One thing Awizy always says is this; if there is somebody whose Christian character he admires and wants to emulate, it is JFK MENSAH. I have heard him say this not once.

I want to go into specifics about the things we continue to learn from you.
- Your passion for Christlikeness. I have been young and I am getting old, I have not seen a preacher make Christlikeness his focus as you do.
You have taught us over and over again that Christ is the centrality of the Bible. As far as you are concerned, being like Jesus should be the utmost obsession of man.
- Sir, you have taught us by example that vulnerability does not kill. This is demonstrated by how you share your salvation story. You are so frank and sincere about who you were before you met Christ and what Christ has done in you.
To date, your salvation story is fresh in your heart and you are not tired of sharing it again and again.
- In you I have learned that simplicity does not reduce your anointing. One day I came to your home and with my charismatic mindset, I thought there should be a seat that is reserved for you. I was surprised to see that you sit anywhere and your children and disciples can access any chair. At programs, you eat with your disciples just as Jesus did. One day, I was honestly bothered about your simplicity and the way you are too accessible.
I was brooding about the whole thing when it suddenly occurred to me that Christ did the same thing with disciples. I honestly pray that we will not take this for granted.

- Also, your passion for Christlike disciple-making as the most important vehicle for finishing the task of world evangelism is very ‘intimidating’.
You told us one time that, while serving as a Pastor in the Volta Region of Ghana many years ago, you did evangelistic crusades from Kpassa in the north of the then Volta Region to Aflao in the south.
After all your labor, you have realized without a doubt that though crusades are good, strategic disciple-making is a more potent tool in reaching the world for Christ.
What a joy to see that some churches are now gradually heeding your call to go back to Disciple Making. Indeed, you are an Apostle of Christ.

- How can I forget your consistency in mastering the Bible? For over forty years the Bible has been your obsession. The fact that you have read it more than forty times sends shivers down my spine. No wonder you are called the ‘walking Bible’.
When I still struggle to keep a consistent DAILY QUIET TIME, it is almost a crime for you, not to have your quiet time EVERY DAY. In your own words, ‘I put an iron bar around my quiet time’. You have taught us that Quiet Time is a healthy way to grow in Christlike Character.
- Daddy, you are almost 70 but your zeal for the Lord is like that of a young man who has found marital comfort in a young woman.
Your zeal and passion for God and his work is contagious. You can stay all day discipling and mentoring young people, whether offline or online. Oh Lord, grant me Grace!
Today I just want to say I love you Daddy and your commitment to Christ. Indeed, heaven will be very interesting. I celebrate you, Sir.
From your Son in Christ
Seth

Daddy, only God can reward the impact you are making in lives. May God help us to be Christlike as we imitate your faith and make impact like you too till we finish this work with quality Christlike Disciplemakers.
Above all, may God help you end with a strong Christlike finish!

All had being said yet there are still more to be added. I’m astonished at the way He keeps quoting the scriptures as if He was there when it was written not to even mention the lecturers at the CDM Bible school, eiiih ! I can’t comprehend this. The hurdle in knowing God more for me is memorisation of the scriptures but to my utmost surprise He also guide us to how, when and what to do to make it possible, I mean to realise the possibility of having them as a fire on our tongue hmmm…organising summits to keep our mind, soul and body glued to God every year is the most enjoyable part. Daddy, ayekoo ayekoo ayekoo. GBU Apostle JFK Mensah for leaving a treasure mark in our heart.
