AN OPEN LETTER TO REV FRANCIS CUDJO AGBOADA
AN OPEN LETTE TO REV FRANCIS CUODJO AGBOADA
Dear Sir
When a man decides to give his youthful life to the service of the Lord, his life becomes a testament for generations yet on born. Surely our children’s children will eat of the seed you have sown in us.
I am by this letter saying thank you for who you are and what you have done in over 30 years in God’s vineyard.
From your days as a young evangelist when you sometimes followed your big brother Rt Rev Dr Edem Tetteh for outreaches to becoming the first catechist of Global Evangelical Church Anloga, Kumasi your life has affected a lot of lives
When you made the tough decision to join the pastoral ministry, it was an act of faith based on your love for Jesus. Today, the people of the Global Evangelical Church in Kumasi, Adidome and its areas, Mafi area, Sogakope, Battor and its environs, Hohoe and Kasoa are saying thank you
Watching your life whether closely or from afar, one could deduce the following:

Daddy, you are a people person. When I joined the Hohoe Global Evangelical Church in those days, you were studying for your masters in the USA. The firebrand Rev Isreal Ahalie was then overseeing your congregation. A few weeks after you arrived you noticed that a new member had joined your flock and was part of the ushering team. You are good at connecting with young people. I remember how your church elders had to register their displeasure about being free going with young people. For you, the ministry is about people. As you retire this weekend, may your good deeds follow you are a counsellor par excellence and a leader for that matter. The congregations that came into existence through your service to Jesus are many. The congregations you had oversight responsibility of are huge. You once told me how a particular congregation nicknamed you a fire extinguisher. This was because of your leadership and counselling grace.
At a personal level, I am a beneficiary of your counselling and pastoral care. I remember a phase of my life when certain aspects of my life were frustrating. I remember how you spent a particular day just praying for me. You will call and check on me. I remember

Sir, if there is something I have learnt from you, it is your posture during difficult situations. As far as you are concerned, ametsitsi me y)a mo o, egbi wo yor na- to wit, a mature man will rather frown his buttocks rather than frown his face in a difficult situation.
This is how you handled issues that come to your counselling table. With patience and a calm composure.
Oh, I remember how you said I should pray for a particular issue, when I came back and you were not satisfied with my result, you sent me back for another prayer errand. When I call you my pastor, these are some of the reasons
Sir, when I told you about my decision on my ministry lane. You were one of the few people who did not criticize, discourage or cut off my relationship with me. Rather you counselled me and encouraged me. Oh, The rolling stone…… I salute you
Many things you are to many people. I remember how delivered a speech at a presbytery meeting. After the meeting, you still had the humility to ask me for my opinion about your delivery……that is the man F.C AGBOADA

Together with my wife and children, in addition to the thousands you have affected in over three decades of ministry, We wish you more grace to finish well. May you not grow tired though retired. May the glory of the finishing, be stronger than the starting.
I deeply appreciate Mama and your children for standing by you all these years of the mountains and valleys of ministry life,
I salute you, Sir, I appreciate you, Daddy
May Jesus find you faithful at the end of time.
