I hope the articles I bring before you every week bless you as I intend. Please feel free to criticize, comment, like, and share.
It is a godly thing to thank people. Do not think that they don’t need appreciation. A genuine word of thank you can warm any heart.
Do not think that people are okay if you don’t thank them, either in words or in kind. People desire appreciation. The desire to be thanked is an attribute of God in us as human beings. Therefore, don’t fail to do it.
There are times when we do things for people, and they don’t appreciate or thank us, and we feel very awkward about it. I have realized that it is a natural tendency in everyone to feel awkward when not appreciated. In the same vein, we feel proud, fulfilled, and joyful when a simple thank you is said to us because of something we have done.
That is how life is. God, in His mercies, even though He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and has everything you can think about, still desires that we thank Him. As I walk through life, I realize that we all have this attribute in us.

What am I trying to convey in this small piece? I’m just saying to learn to say thank you to people when you are helped. Say thank you and mean it. Do not say thank you while your heart is saying something different. Do not say thank you if your attitude does not show that you are appreciative of what someone has done for you.
Our parents and guardians deserve a lot of thank yous. Sometimes we feel it is our right to be helped, forgetting that there are people who also have parents but did not receive even a quarter of what we have received from ours. So, even though it’s your right to be taken care of as a child, it is equally your responsibility and a noble thing to do to say thank you.
Let me ask a question: how would you feel if your child walked away from you after you helped him or her lace their shoes? You’d be surprised how something as simple as that can put you off. That is why we have to teach our children this noble gesture of thanking people, whether they are small or great, rich or poor.

Let’s teach our children. Let’s inculcate this habit into them for the betterment of the home, for the joy of the family, and for the enhancement of our society and godly values.
I will rest my pen here and see you in the next article.
For the love of God, society, and young people
Blessings.
