Setting a New Standard in Entrepreneurship-Meet Akpe and Pat Azumah of Juice Up!

He has always been entrepreneurial back in the day.

As the last born in the family with three other siblings, he always wanted to do business and earn something, no matter how small.

I remember a phase in his life he took fried fish ( akpa kalami) to the University of Ghana campus to sell.

In recent times he has tried his hands on many things including operating a provision shop and Uber services.

After bagging a degree from KNUST, getting a job in the banking sector, and adding a masters, Akpe did not stop doing his personal business.

I remember visiting him one time and he told me about a shop he was operating. He sold provisions even when he was still working at the bank.

One thing I always take away from Akpe’s entrepreneurial skills is that little by little will make progress. You will see him happily talking about making one cedi out of every bread he sold or making little profit from the pure bag he sold.

Thanks be to God he found and married a lady who shares in his dream and together they are now the producers of natural fruit juice company in Accra, Ghana. A very industrious graduate from the University of Ghana with a background in French.

After leaving the banking sector voluntarily, Akpe  wanted to be himself and explore more possibilities. Though difficult, the Juice Up brand is a rising name in the natural fruit juice industry in Ghana.
