Are You Looking For A Life Partner? Rev Seth Kunkpe Provides Answers
It is easier to look for a right partner but difficult to be the RIGHT PARTNER. I see young people looking for the right partner forgetting that being the right partner is of more importance.
The big question one need to ask himself or herself is this? Even if you get the right partner and you still have too many character defects, don’t you think the union will eventually have cracks?
These and many more reasons why I am taking the trouble to explain things to you. The union of marriage is not a hundred-meter dash. Young people think that the fact that they feel good about a relationship it guarantees the success of that relationship. I beg your pardon? Feelings are good but they cannot be the soul determiners of a good man or woman.
Are You Looking For A Life Partner? Answer These Questions From Rev Seth Kunkpe
These critical questions are intended to make you think and not feel your way into any unhealthy union. Read it over and over again and examine your self
- THE QUESTION OF AUTHORITY. Have you prayed? Sounds too simple but if you joke here, you will joke every where in the relationship. After prayer, have you consulted a person of authority in your life life? Your parents, your mentor or spiritual father? Remember it is with wise counsel you take right decisions.
- THE QUESTION OF PREPAREDNESS. Are you prepared? There are several levels of preparations that you need to engage in if you want the best for your life. From spiritual, to financial, to emotional etc.
- THE QUESTION OF DESTINY. Have you found your assignment in life? This area is one of the most important in marriage. Your life purpose comes before your life partner
- THE QUESTION OF WISDOM. What do you know about marriage. For most young people marriage is all about sex. You are really immature if you reason this way. You need to acquire relevant knowledge necessary for your dream home.
- THE QUESTION OF CHARACTER. Listen very carefully, marriage is character personified. Take it or leave it. Are you intentionally working on your character and values. It is values that make a man. The richness and soundness of your marriage is directly proportional to the value you bring to the table.
- THE QUESTION OF OPENNESS. Sometimes we are quick to be critical about other people and their relationships and our partners. Are you sincere about your own weaknesses. Are you willing to be open and vulnerable so you can see change in your own life?
- THE QUESTION OF ETERNITY. After every thing is said and done. Where do you want to spend eternity? This matters a lot in choosing. Your source is God, so your choice has to reflect your source. Don’t sweep this area under the carpet. Don’t be shy about this. Treat it with the urgency it requires. Your marriage can influence your eternity
Beloved, marriage is not a funfair, it requires taking matured decisions that will eventually affect the health and life.
For the love of God, society and young people.
Blessing!
