Introduction

As you enter into this union, said our counselors, there are three keys that are necessary for your marital harmony. They are patience, tolerance, and forgiveness. That was about eight years ago.

As we reflect on those days gone by, we can only thank God for his kindness and Mercy towards us and his grace to make us responsible for our own vows. Indeed, when a man and a woman take the marital vow at the altar of God, the tendency to belittle what is said amidst the shouts and huge cheers is very high.

But we have to understand that the marriage vow is by far the most important aspect of the entire ceremony. That PROMISE is a very deep covenant and should not be taken for granted.

You will be reading about how the Lord has helped us through the first seven years of the NEVER-ENDING JOURNEY OF MARRIAGE (till death do us part, Amen).

We are going to share some of the things that can work for any young marriage. These are biblical principles that work. One thing we have to realize about principles is that they don’t surrender to opposition and threats. They work if they are APPROPRIATELY APPLIED.

So, you are welcome to our life. In some chapters, we will share real personal stories. We live in a world where it is safe to conceal and avoid being vulnerable.

To be vulnerable, we believe is a difficult thing to do but at the same time, it’s a sacrifice that somebody has to make for the good of others. Young marriages face so many challenges. Some cannot even survive the first year. The people who have gone ahead of us have a duty to teach and open up to the people who are now entering into marriage.

This is not the best book on marriage. We are only contributing our quota to the enrichment of young marriages. Also, take advantage of the views that other couples shared in the latter part of the book. God bless you.
